I've
been making leather slings since 1993. The first one was a weave sling
which is still hanging in a basement here in Madison. My next batch of
leather slings was to outfit Inn Leather Guesthouse (Ft Lauderdale) with
a complete set to replace all of their original canvas slings. And then
Ft Troff found me after asking around for the country's best sling maker.
In the years since I have probably made over 1000 slings for them alone!
I like to think they are The World's Best Slings.
I use top-grade domestic latigo which doesn't require any special attention
like re-conditioning for years and years. Sling clean-up is as simple
as a soapy wet rag or even 409. I have made several custom bear slings
for big & tall guys, and am always eager to try a new design. I reinforce
my Bear Slings with bullet-proof kevlar, which is rated at 50,000 psi
so my Bear Slings will certainly outlast us all!
I think
my canvas slings and leather slings are the very best around, at the most

perimeter and loops. Super-strong and 100% metal free so washing
it is easy as blue jeans. Even the stirrups!

This leather sling is the heart of my empire. I have been
making this one since 1999 and no one has fallen out of one
yet! There are so many of these leather slings floating around
the US I think that at any time, its quite likely someone is
